What is “Ticker Tagging”, and what can it do for my company’s stock?
Let me start by asking you this…
When you release news, does your stock react? If not, you don’t have an audience looking, waiting for news on your company. So how do we change this?
The answer is simple. By targeting the audience of your public company peers.
Let’s say you have a social media company. It’s public, but nobody knows about it. Who do you want to attract to take a look at your stock?
People who invest in gold? No. People who invest in auto’s? No.
What if I told you that you could put your stock in front of all of the shareholders of Facebook (NASDAQ: FB), Twitter (NASDAQ: TWTR), and Snapchat (NASDAQ: SNAP)? After all, this is your target audience correct?
Do you have a pharmaceutical or biotech company? How would you like your news put in front of all the shareholders of Amgen (NASDAQ: AMGN), Gilead Sciences (NASDAQ: GILD), Pfizer (NYSE: PFE) or Eli Lilly (NYSE: LLY)
As opposed to individuals at the end of an email list, what do we know about the investors we are targeting?
- They buy stock (they are reading news on public companies)
- They buy stock in the same industry as yours
- They are blue chip investors who usually buy and hold.
